Friday 3/26

Today Gail ran Jesse and I around a little bit in the morning so that
Shaun could study for Sunday. We tried out another coffee shop in
hilcrest which is about 20 mins away. After that we went to another
mall.  Seems like every mall here has a grocery store attached to it
so you can do everything at one time. Still looking for gifts for the
little boys, but there is always the airport. So we walked around the
mall and grabbe so stuff at the grocery for youth tonight.
Sometimes you forget this a third world country with their big huge
malls, beautiful beaches, shops a plenty but you are snatched back to
reality when you see a guy bathing in the house at the gas station, or
people digging thru the garbage you set out looking for food, or the
gate the you have to close and lock across your driveway every time
you leave or come home, or the bars on the windows, or less than 15
mins from your house pushing water bottles in a wheel barrel. It is a
different world here, one that will take adjusting. Curious how long
it will take me to stop seeing everything in American dollars.
We had a nice left over lunch and did a littleore shopping for youth.
Shaun pulled me aside and we just talked one on one for awhile just to
make sure we were all on the same page. It was good.
Youth is a little different here. Jr youth is like grade 3-8 and high
school youth is the year you turn 13. Right now Shaun is doing
everything so Fridays are pretty crazy for him, but it was a good
night. Kids are on break Here for two weeks.
Not sure what tomorow holds, but I will let you know.
