Oh how I have missed you dear blog

I have so missed typeing out my thoughts every day! I have taken notes so that when I have the time and the internet connection I can sit down and give a good update of our last month here in South Africa.

Right now we are at the South African Calvary Chapel Conference. What an amazing time it has been. Awesome teachers all day and great fellowship with others that have the same call on their lives as us. It has also been such a tremendous joy for me to see old friends from Fort Lauderdale and from Bible College, also mutual friends of much loved friends of mine. My heart is refreshed and encouraged. I am so excited to be a part of the tremendous work that God is and will be doing in South Africa. This is an exciting time here.

Let me tell you how incredibly beautiful Cape Town is... wow. Mountains and Ocean, rolling green hills, it kind of reminds me of Southern California but with it's own twist. All of SA has been beautiful, I am mesmerized by it's beauty.

We have seen penguins, baboons and whales since we have been here. Yes, penguin.. warm water penguins that sit on top of big boulders that shoot up from the ocean. The whales are awesome, they come inland in the morning and hang out, rolling, jumping and blowing. The sound of them hitting the water is awesome and their blow hole noises, they make me happy.

A word on baboons... scary!!! They are big, with huge lion like fangs and will come after you to take your food or your life. They actually come right up to where we are, and will break into your home looking for food. While we are hear at the conference center we have to make sure our doors to our cabins are locked...scary.

Next week we get to spend some alone time with our church family and love on each other and get ready to go home and get down to business. What a joy to actually be here, I still can't believe it sometimes.

I am so excited to finally be able to up load some photos... yay! Enjoy!

Enjoy the photos!

Blessings,

Andrea
